This Summers Must Attend Musical Festival for your Dog is Woofstock

Woofstock started in 2003 as a weekend outdoor summer festival. The event has proven so popular that while the weekend is still for the dogs it also includes activities such as: Breakfast with Santa, Fashion Show, Canine Pageant, Best Costume Contest and much more. This event wouldn’t be so successful without support and this year, for the first time, Iams is excited to be a Winter Woofstock Sponsor. So much so that they want to give you and your dog the chance to win tickets!

Want to know more about Woofstock? Their website states:

“Woofstock is a celebration of dogs in every way – a high-profile, high-energy, mould-breaking two-day long event that draws tens of thousands of visitors and their beloved pooches from across Canada and the U.S. They come and shop ’til they drop for the latest in fashion, food, furnishings and clever must have accessories for their furry companions.”

Not only is Iams busy with this event but they are also working on the Iams “Home 4 the Holidays” program.

This year, in addition to helping more orphaned pets get adopted, Iams Home 4 the Holidays is feeding more pets by donating food directly to rescues and shelters – including your local chapters. Iams has set a goal of 5 million meal donations!

If you’ll be in the Toronto area on November 17 and 18 and want to win a pair of tickets to Woofstock (graciously donated by Iams), then go to the Iams Home 4 the Holidays website and leave a comment below telling me something you learned. Please be sure to leave your email address so that I can get in touch with you.

Thanks Iams. Woof! Woof!

Hello. I’d like to first say how great i think this contest is. As someone in the business, I think I could benefit greatly from visiting this show.

In terms of what I learned from the Iams website. It was actually quite shocking, but in such a short period as of 11/01/12 Iams Home 4 the holidays programs has provided shelters with 138,891 meals. That’s in 7 days! Absolutely phenomenal work you guys are doing. Keep it up.

This looks pretty cool! I like that the Helen Woodward Animal Centre believes that “people help animals and animals help people” which I really agree with. Our local shelter uses Iams and since we brought home our 3 additional family members we feed them all Iams as well. Thanks for all the great work, Iams!

I would love to help a dog in some way; unfortunately I live in a condo where pets are not allowed. I would like to find out what is that I can do to help. This contest is important and what you are doing guys for helping dogs is fantastic!!

I learned that Iams was the first to consider feeding cats and dogs as carnivores and develop dry, animal-protein based diets suited to the needs of dogs and cats. I signed up for their Home for the Holidays program!

I learned that Iams has a petfinder, which is awesome ’cause I want to help my father adopt a fury friend. 🙂
