Do you Share in any of These Quirky Habits?

peanut butter and jam dinner It’s 11:28pm.

Ed and I are making dinner.

Or should I say breakfast.

Peanut butter, jam and cheese sandwiches.

A fairly regular occurrence around here. The time, not the cuisine.

Seeing as I’m so very busy at the computer, I ask Ed to butter my bread for me. He gives me the eye roll.

It made me laugh and got me to thinking.

I’ve been meaning to but haven’t done a Random Fact Friday post in a long while and there are a few million things that you don’t know about me.

And perhaps wish you didn’t.

Regardless, given my generous nature, if just one of you leaves this post feeling like you’re not the only one that does “that”, than my mission is accomplished.

Top Ten Things that Make Me Quirky

  1. The peanut butter has to be spread right out to the edges.
  2. Fork tines can not be bent in the least.
  3. Items are often put away before the person has used them.
  4. Sometimes pretty clothes are purchased and hung in the closet. With the tags on. Never worn.
  5. My neighbours are always notified of the latest weekly flyer sales.
  6. I screen my calls. Now you won’t know if I’m really home or not.
  7. When hanging my laundry, all the socks have to hang one way. Reminds me of my Aunt Sally.
  8. I’ll eat breakfast for dinner but don’t like to eat dinner for breakfast. Cold pizza being the only exception.
  9. Drinking water with a straw makes it taste better.
  10. I wanted to make this a neat and tidy “Top Ten” list so I removed some items.

Note that I will revise the list as more “Quirk-Worthy” items are discovered.

We do peanut butter & mustard…my grandpa ate them in service (?) & when he got back he liked them, his kids all like them, and I like them. Got my 8 year old to try it…she didn’t like it.

Peanut butter and ketchup…I screen calls too..I dont always answer the door, I taught my daughter to be quiet when someone knocks..just in case I dont want to answer..lol it works.

I have a few lists going on my blog of different things…but this I like.. I think we should all start a quirky list with our own unique name for it. 🙂

Great list! LOL. I’d guess that an obsession with lists is one of your quirks too, huh? LOL. Funny, I think the cold pizza thing is universal. I like cold spaghetti for breakfast too! 😀 Thanks for the entertaining post!!!

I also have to spread things evenly across my bread. Doc says it’s due to my OCD I need things like that.
I also screen my calls. I hate the phone or talking on it… so impersonal.
As for cold pizza… can’t do it. Man, I don’t do leftovers period. I couldn’t imagine eating pizza cold. No sir!

I forgot to add my label issue. Everything, and I mean everything, if it has a label and is in a cabinet, on a counter, anywhere, it has to have the label facing out. I won’t rest if labels are turned backwards. I have to see what I want when I want it.
      Crazy? Maybe.
      Do I care? Not really.

I like peanut butter and pickle sandwiches (and yes, the peanut butter HAS to be spread out to the edges).

Finally, someone who also agrees with fork tines! I will absolutely refuse to eat with a fork which tines are bent… drives me crazy!

    Love your list!

    Have a lovely weekend!

Who has forks with bent tines? How does that even happen? I’m sure I have a thousand quirks but am not observant enough to see them myself…I do like pie for breakfast, but I think that’s pretty universal. 😉

Totally get #4 as I have at least two nice dresses that have never been worn. I personally have to eat any small candy – Skittles, jellybeans, M&Ms – in pairs. I can’t stand to eat them solo. I have no idea why, but it cracks my husband up to break up my pairs.

Amen to spreading peanut butter evenly and all the way to the edges!

There are a few in our house that spoil it by adding crushed salt & vinegar chips, and I’ve seen the remains of PB and pickle sandwiches on the counter… peanut butter blasphemy as far as I’m concerned 🙂

    Thanks for sharing!
