Avoid the Halloween Costume Debacle of 2013 with Anytime Costumes

Halloween is just around the corner. The Kids have been talking non-stop about tales of “trick or treats”, chocolates, cheezies and cans of Coke. We have great neighbours. But, I’m sure that you don’t need me to tell you that it’s coming. I mean who could forget.

Well…

Let’s just say that when Anytime Costumes approached me about getting a Halloween costume two months early, my nightmares surrounding the Costume Debacle of 2012 were replaced with concerns of “Will Max Find the Right Costume?”.

My concerns were short lived because when I searched their site for boys costumes, there were over 50 categories to choose from and hundreds of individual costumes.

Even with all the selection, there was only one costume for him.

Remember when we surprised The Kids with “Christmas in September”? You guessed it, Max wanted to be…

THOMAS THE TRAIN!

When the time came to try it on, Max couldn’t tear himself away from his Thomas the Train set so we put the sizing chart to the test with Artemis. The website stated that the costume (hat and gown) was good for kids up to a size 6 and Artemis measures a size 4 (in tops). It fit her well with plenty of room to add extra layers on underneath and for next year when The Kids will be almost 5.

As for the hat, Artemis has a small head so it fit no problem. However, I was a bit worried about Max. He’s been wearing junior sizes for a while and the hat isn’t adjustable (nor does it have elastic). The great news, it fit with no problems.

As for the price, I can purchase a costume with easy care instructions (hand wash and lay to dry), that is trademarked, that my kids love, delivered to my door before Halloween, and avoid any mishaps all for less than $35. A deal in comparison to having a migraine all night.

The bonus, Artemis can wear it next year and, Anytime Costumes has one-stop-shopping for the whole family. Including your pets.

I think this is a great idea. At the end of the day, if you were to purchase all the bits and pieces for a homemade costume, the price is comparable – less the headaches!

Great costumes! No, I haven’t even thought about costumes yet, I’m always a procrastinator! This weekend I’ve got to get on it!

My mom always made our costumes, but with my kids I recycled my old costumes and ended up buying new ones! This looks like a great place to grab a costume!

    Thanks

Those are really nice costumes and look like great quality! The toddler was a monkey last year and wants to be lion king this year lol

We always built/made our own costumes when I was a kid; now I take the kiddos to a thrift store and try to put together a costume they love. They get to be imaginative and creative, we spend some quality time together and I save money!

My kids are too old for trick or treating, but I helped my daughter get costumes together for my 2 grandchildren 🙂

No need for costumes this year. My little one is too young this year and my son is apparently “too old” to dress up now. But definitely keeping Anytime Costumes in mind for next year!

In the past 3 days, my daughter, typical female, has changed her mind about 8 times. So, we’re taking her tonight to get her costume, at this point all I know is she’s going to be something girlie & pretty she says 🙂

no, I won’t be wearing a Halloween costume. My grandchildren were going to be something from Star wars (my son is a huge fan) but they’ve changed their minds and now it’s to be a witch and a pirate. I used to make all the costumes for my children when they were small, quite a chore with 7 but it was fun to see them all dressed up.
