A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words at Posterjack

Ever since I found Madge* in the closet, I’ve been taking pictures non-stop. It’s contagious because since getting their own camera, The Kids have been taking pictures too. Every day, we look through all our pictures on the computer and reminisce. The problem is that there aren’t any displayed where people can see them. Until now.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words at Posterjack!

I was interested in working with Posterjack for several reasons. One, they are a Canadian company based out of Toronto, secondly, they have a variety of interesting products to choose from and they always have something exciting happening on Twitter. The best part, I like pictures and so do they. You can tell.

Posterjack’s online photo printing service offers the largest variety of photo art products in the country. Want to print your photos on acrylic? No problem. Looking for metal prints? Yup, we do that too. Even better, all of our products are handmade in Canada with exacting quality, vibrant colours, and dazzling clarity. That’s why our awesome customers keep coming back to The Photo Art Experts for canvas printing, custom framing and more. Have fun. This is not a retail location. Orders are only accepted online.

The conundrum… which picture to choose?

I’ve never seen a picture printed on canvas before so I didn’t know what would look good. So, I picked my favourite one and am I ever pleased with it!

Note that this is a picture of the canvas and my camera doesn’t do it justice.

The ordering process online was very easy.

All I needed to do was; select image, canvas size and upload the image. Make any customizations such as framing/hanging, borders or image effects and prepare for preview. Yes, that easy and quick. Speaking of quick, my photo arrived within 5 business days of me placing my order, was well packaged with no risk of damage and cost a flat fee of $8.50**.

I ordered the 12×18″ canvas and felt that the corners and overall installation onto the wooden frame was well done and appreciated the attention to detail with the wall protectors. Even though the canvas is not properly hung in the picture (it is temporarily hung on a nail, not with a hook), it hangs less than 1/2″ off the wall.

The one thing I found odd was the edges. For 1.5″ around all four sides, they have created a mirror image of the photograph. I figure this is to allow for enough “extra” canvas to wrap around the wooden frame. If they didn’t do this then I would have lost some of my picture and The Kids feet would have been cut off. Something to consider when selecting your photograph.

I am so pleased with the photo I selected.

I love that the canvas gives the picture some character… warmth yet the texture doesn’t detract from the subjects or the crispness of the picture. This picture will look great hanging in my dining room. If you’re looking for unique and personalized photo printing this Holiday season or anytime…

I think I’d go for a canvas print in the sizing 16 x 24 inches. BTW I think your photo looks fabulous!

I think it would depend on the photo and the placement. I would probably start with a canvas though.
    Love your picture!

I would get the framed, rich black and utilize the collage maker. It is near impossible to get all the grandkids in 1 photo, without it being a Christmas Day photo. This would be perfect.

I don’t know!!! I would have to discuss it as I want a montage of the 4 cats who have lived with me in this house. Two are gone, one is almost 19 years old and the other is a force to be reckoned with even though she has had all her claws removed. From what I see, they would provide an excellent memory for me.
