Don’t Leave Home without the Security of the @ReactMobile App

It’s almost dark but it’s there.
I can see it in my peripheral vision.
It moves as if to jump out at me.
My heart beats.
Right out of my chest.
I’m alone and terrified.

Ever felt like that about a tree branch? I have.

Fortunately, there’s a solution…

Introducing the Security of React Mobile.

I love living in a small town but it can get pretty secluded sometimes. Whether I’m out for a walk with The Zoo during the day or even driving on one of the sideroads at night, I’m happy to say that after installing React Mobile I have peace of mind.

What is React Mobile?

Whether you have an Android or iPhone, React Mobile lets you turn your smartphone into a mobile safety application for FREE. Features include; SOS Alerts email, SOS via Text, SOS to Facebook and Twitter, SOS to dedicated user console, GPS location tracking, 911 button/prompt, Group SMS messages.

The app has a “Follow Me” feature, that let’s your self selected contacts track your whereabouts in real-time whenever you’re concerned for your safety. In an emergency, press the SOS shield on the app to send out a panic alert containing a link to your GPS location to select emergency contacts via text message and email, which can optionally be posted to Facebook and Twitter. Once the SOS alert is activated, you’re automatically prompted to dial 911.

If you travel like we do in foreign countries, you can modify your country settings (from US/Canada) and it will dial the appropriate emergency authority depending on your geographic location.

How Do I Set it Up?

Since this app is totally free to use, set-up is just a few easy steps:

  1. Go to the React Mobile website and download it.
  2. Open the app.
  3. Create an Account. You only need to do this once.
  4. Add Contacts. You can manually enter the information into the app or simply add them from your phones contact list.
  5. Update your Settings (if required). Such as activating your GPS Location.
  6. You’re Ready to Use the App.

All tolled, all the steps took me less than 10 minutes.

How Do I Use The App?

I’d suggest that you play around with it first. I had a friend also install the app and we both added each other as our only Emergency Contacts. Then, we sent each other alerts so that we knew how to activate the alarm, follow along in the case of an emergency and understand what notifications our emergency contacts would receive.

It gave me such peace of mind to know that within seconds (if that), she was notified that I was “concerned for my safety”. Had it really been an emergency, with the push of one button, I would have been able to call 911.

What About Customer Service

If you’re thinking “I love free apps but dislike the lack of customer service…” THINK AGAIN! As luck would have it, I had a few questions and the React Mobile team was quick to react. Within an hour, I received a response and they arranged so that I could speak with a live person to help me set up my GPS Location. Even though the problem had nothing to do with the app, they had me all sorted out within minutes.

It’s that kind of attention to detail that makes companies stand out in my mind. Especially when it’s a case of safety and it’s obvious that Robb and his team really care about this product.

And the Verdict Is…

I will use this app. Not only because it’s free and I can uninstall it at any time but because it makes me feel that I am able to protect my family and myself. And if it says one life then it’s all worth it to me.

Feel Safe not Vulnerable with React Mobile.

Note that children should not play with your phone when this app is activated. With the click of one button, they are able to call 911.

sounds like a good idea but that would mean I’d have to remember to take my phone with me and I’m afraid I usually don’t. Since I also never seem to hear it when it rings either (much to my children’s annoyance) I generally only use it for What’s app to stay in contact with my children around the world. Now that is a great app!

Thank you for telling us about The Reactmobile App. I did not know that such an App exists let alone that it was free. This would be wonderful for people in certain situations and travelling. Thank you again for giving us this information.
