To say that we arrived on time would be a lie. However, we arrived earlier than last year. That in itself is a success.
I was going to leave it at that and post next week about the return of the ice skating rink, the fact that Uncle Andrew is here for a 12-day visit and that we’ve been to 102 parties over the past 2.5 weeks.
But then I wanted to post a picture.
So, I started going through all the pictures I have so far and realized that I haven’t taken very many. Well I have but they’re mostly “stock like” pictures of 600 year old church bells and coffee machines and women selling their wares on the streets.
I had every intention on taking more. Lots more. That was until Max decided to jump on our bed, where I’d put my DSLR camera…
The few I have taken of people are on 25 degree days where suntan lines are a guarantee even with the best lotions and sunglasses are mandatory.
This picture pretty much sums things up.

P.P.S. Since we now have highspeed internet at home for the first time since 2005 (oh ya, I was going to do a post about “Why Carlos Slim is the Richest Man in the World”), you’ll be hearing from me. A lot. You’re been warned.

Oh I love San Cristibal!!! I lived in a little town near there for many years!! Such a beautiful area of Mexico!! The market is amazing! Oh and the food…. 🙂

I lived in Comitan. It is beautiful there as well. Many mornings were spent enjoying a cafe in the center! I really miss it! The people are so friendly! The food amazing! I spent many weekends in San Cristobal (a friend lived there). I love the cobbled streets, the market, such an amazing place.
