Surprise Your Kids with Notes of Love from PICKmeUP Napkins

Pick Me Up Napkins Giveaway3It’s Monday morning and you’ve just sent the kids out the door and off to school. You miss them and wish that they knew that you were thinking of them.

You’re setting the table and all you have are those napkins from Thanksgiving with the Turkey wearing the pilgrims hat. You wish that you could liven the table up a bit.

You feel guilty about your contribution to landfill after every meal as you throw out all the paper napkins. Some that were hardly touched.

PICKmeUP Napkins to the Rescue!

Created by a Canadian, the idea first came about after sending daily hand written notes in her daughters lunch box. While the sentiment was well received, the Mom wanted to find an environmentally friendly alternative to disposable paper napkins. And so PICKmeUP Napkins was born.

The colourful napkins are made from 100% cotton, machine washable, and CPSIA Compliant (lead and phthalate free) and measure almost square at 25cms (10inches). Each one contains a unique and positive message intended to encourage kindness and build self-esteem.

We received the “My Hero” and “My Sunshine” napkin sets and the product was a perfect fit.

Since the beginning, we’ve been a reusable cloth napkin household. Not only because they’re better for the environment and your budget but also because I find them softer on my face*. Speaking of costs, considering my previous sets lasted five years (a friend made them and they weren’t as well made as these), that means that my investment works out to be $10 a year on napkin products. With two young kids, I’d be spending at least that a month on crappy paper napkins that tear and end up with me wiping spaghetti sauce all over my hand.

With positive messages like “I Love You”, “I am PROUD of you” and “You brighten my day”, The Kids want to learn how to read them all. And the colours have added a real pizzazz to our table setting**!

The napkins themselves are absorbant, soft, well-made with rolled over hems and have the personal touch of a sewn-in label on the underside with space to write your child’s name. Best to use it because people will want to be “borrowing” these napkins. Awarded the PTPA Winner’s Seal of Approval in 2014, this product and company definitely meets everything it’s set out to do and is the perfect gift to show someone that you care.
