On Friday May 8, Nanna arrived for Mothers Day weekend. Before she even had her coat off, Ed and I were halfway to Finnerty’s for our monthly “Date Night”. Sunday breakfast was a real treat as I didn’t need to cook or do the dishes as we spent it with Uncle Eric at the Five-Star Restaurant complete with carnations. On Monday, Nanna left.

Early in the morning on Tuesday, we all loaded in the van and headed into Ottawa for my (pretty near) biennial visit. On our way home, we picked up Marcella (The Kids sister) for a two day visit. We did crafts together, read books and played outside as a family. On Thursday evening, Marcella left.

On Friday May 15, Uncle Andrew and Uncle Kevin arrived for the 5th Annual May Long Weekend Work Weekend. This weekend, they managed to get more done in 24 hours than 4 days. Why? Because on Sunday at 7:30am, Ed left for a business trip to Arizona. The boys stayed on until yesterday, Monday, May 18.

In case you’re doing the math, that’s 11 straight days of visitors.

Ed gets home on Wednesday and then our calendar is booked solid until June 1. I’m looking forward to things slowing down.

This afternoon we posted a giveaway for a Scoot and Ride 2-in-1 Scooter for Kids. It’s in a class of it’s own.

On Friday we posted about Artemis’ love of makeup and posted an All-Natural, Kid Friendly giveaway for Makeup and Craft Related kits from Kiss Naturals, a Canadian company.

On Wednesday, we poked fun at our self when we showed you a picture of the inside of our dishwasher. Tell me that yours looks the same. If not your dishwasher, how about your oven?
