In 2015, I made a commitment to donate $1 a Day to 365 Canadian Charities and/or People in need*. My goal was to show that $1 can make a difference in the lives of others. Imagine if we all gave a dollar when we could? Fortunately, other Canadians share in my beliefs.
One such company is Boston Pizza and we’re huge fans. Not only because we love pizza, spending time with family and supporting a great Canadian company but also because they spend a lot of their time focussing on giving to others through the Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects and their latest campaign is a perfect example of that.
Since its inception in 1990, the Boston Pizza Foundation has raised and donated more than $20 million to directly improve the health and well-being of children and families through campaigns like their (watch for it in September). The foundation raises funds and awareness for organizations that provide kids in Canada with role models and mentoring programs. BPF Future Prospects is proud to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids Help Phone, Live Different, JDRF and the Rick Hansen Foundation.
This Valentine’s Day, for one day only, stop by one of Boston Pizza’s 370 locations and purchase a Heart-shaped pizza where $1 from every sale will support the Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects. Available in small and medium size (excluding thin crust), with classic or multigrain dough, they can be ordered for dine-in, take-out or delivery in any of Boston Pizza’s gourmet and create-your-own pizza varieties.
Or, choose something else from the menu like sliders with fries (The Kids favourite), sandwiches, pasta or ribs to name a few and still give to charity. That’s because from January 11 to February 14, guests can also purchase a “Boston Pizza Peel and Win Heart” for a minimum donation of $2 where everyone will have the chance to win either $2 off dessert, 5 off $25 on Takeout and Delivery, a free starter, Panookie or Flatbread Pizzatizer.
No matter what you choose, you get to enjoy a tasty meal with those you love, not have to clean up afterwards and you will also support charity at the same time. Their goal is to raise $520,000 and with our help, they will.

awe I totally did not do this!! wish i did to help support. On Valentine’s Day since it tends to be really busy everywhere my husband and I usually stay in and cook something together. but this would have brought us out of the house ! love the idea of the heart shaped pizza 🙂
