Barbie Dreamtopia Rainbow Doll

Barbie DreamtopiaSince the kids have started going to school, they regularly come home talking of toys that I’ve never heard of that “so and so has” and that if we love them, we’ll buy them one too. Okay, they haven’t said that last bit but I’m ready when it happens.

While they might be easily influenced by their peers, Ed and I are not so quick to fall prey to their desires. We decided a long time ago, that we would make every effort to purchase items that sparked imagination and would be played with for longer than three minutes and not found later on with their head missing.

Speaking of missing heads, in case you forgot, my Barbie met with a tragic fate and we weren’t sure how Artemis would take to the fashion icon. Just to make sure that she was going to play with her like she said she would, we insisted that she use her own money to buy her first Barbie doll. She can add that to her list of things that she’s mad at us about when she turns 13.

Turns out that her love was not short lived.

Barbie Dreamtopia

Barbie gets a lot of attention in our house, not only from her but also Max. They love to set-up house for Barbie complete with fridge, oven, food, utensils and even two toilets! They create, imagine and work together as a team to ensure that Barbie’s needs are met. As a parent, I couldn’t be happier.

Fashion Toy Icon since 1959

Since 1959, Barbie has been coming up with creative ways to celebrate and embrace your child’s love of play and their latest release, Dreamtopia is sure to impress! Barbie Dreamtopia is an all-new, magical, make-believe world imagined by Chelsea™, the youngest sister of Barbie™. Join Barbie, Chelsea, and her puppy Honey as they swim through rainbow rivers with beautiful mermaids and fly through cotton candy clouds with fairies.

I would love to have the Barbie Spy Squad Doll and Motorcycle! I loved Barbie growing up and spent many hours playing and dressing my Barbie. My Auntie made clothes for my Barbie! Now after raising two boys we shall see Barbie renter our home with our granddaughter! I hope your daughter enjoys her Barbie just even a tenth of how much I enjoyed mine!

I think that my youngest niece would love the Endless Hair Kingdom.

My sister used to cut the barbies hair into funky styles & my grandmother used to knit furniture for them.

My best friend and I used to spend hours playing Barbie’s when we were growing up. We would lose track of time and play all night long during the March break and summer break. We had quite the vivid imaginations!

I can’t remember a time that I did not have a Barbie when I was growing up. It was the essential toy!

    hi sarah!

I grew up with 2 older sisters who we never had a shortage of barbies. I remember we always loved playing with our pregnant Barbie, where the was an attachable stomach and a baby that went in it

My Grandma was quite the sewer, and would sew beautiful gowns for our Barbies out of scraps of fancy material! She always sewed two similar dresses – one for me and one for my sister, so there would be no fighting! 😉

My mom tells a story all the time about when I was a little girl and I was trying to feed my barbies pop tarts. Apparently I tossed the barbie and pop tart under my bed and my mom found them months later and the pop tart was completely stuck in the barbies hair.

Not able to access the site but right now I think one of the best cartoons out there is Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse. It’s so cute for the kids and humourously nostalgic for the adults.

My Barbie story is a little embarrassing! I loved Barbie’s, for so long, that I believe there was an overlap of me playing with Barbie’s and my first “boyfriend”.! LOL

I remember playing with this barbie that my sister got. She had roller blades, and they had things on them that sparked! Seems like such a fire hazard to me now! haha!

Barbie was my world when I was a young girl. I rememebr my grandparents taking me to Eaton’s downtown to see Santa and look at toys in Toyland. One year I asked for the Barbie Airplane, well Santa must have been lsitening because that is what was under the tree Christmas morning. Sadly it was broken inside adn when returned they did not have any more…..an equally exciting replacement was the Barbie Winnebago, bright orange. What fun!
