Donate to the @BostonPizzaFdn and Get 5 FREE Kids Meals! #BPKidsCards

Boston Pizza Kids CardsSummer is almost over and if I wasn’t so tired, I’d be glad. Yes, I just wrote that. This is the first year that The Kids have had a Summer (definition being an extended break between school ending and beginning again) and very early on, I realized that like everyone else, I had to cram a year of living into eight short weeks. In case you were wondering, there isn’t enough time.

In between birthday parties, special events at the library, play dates, daily swimming lessons, soccer practice for Max and gymnastics for Artemis, there was barely enough time for anything else. Just to clarify, no one is complaining. At all.

The Kids realize how fortunate they are to have the ability to participate in fee-based activities where they learn new skills and develop positive relationships with coaches and their teammates. They also realize that many of their peers aren’t so fortunate and they wish that there was something that they could do.

That’s where you, I and Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects come in.

For the past three years, I have been honoured to have the opportunity to share and support Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects and their Boston Pizza Kids Cards campaign and based on all your comments, you think it’s important as well.

Boston Pizza Kids Cards 3-600

Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects works with partner organizations to provide Canadian kids in need with role models and mentors. Each year, the organization provides more than 200,000 hours of guidance and inspiration with role models each year. To date, Canadians have raised more than $22 million for organizations that align with its purpose, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, JDRF, Kids Help Phone, Live Different and the Rick Hansen Foundation.

Boston Pizza Kids Card Campaign is Back!

From now until October 2, 2016, you can support kids in your community and across Canada. A minimum donation of $5 gets you five free Kids Meals valued at $35 and also translates to an hour with a role model for a kid in need. In addition, Boston Pizza is offering a sixth Kids Meal if you register your Kids Card with a My BP account. (available at BostonPizza.com or the Boston Pizza iPhone app).

Not only will your donation help a child in need in your community but your family will also reap the benefits of your generosity and I’m not just talking about the free meals. Telling Max and Artemis that they are making a difference in the lives of others is priceless.

I am so happy that Boston Pizza are still contributing to children that, otherwise, would not be able to enjoy or take part in sport activities. Kudos to these businesses who give back to the children in their communties.

This is such a great program! I just won a $25 gift certificate to Boston Pizza so you can bet I bought a Kids card to optimize our next visit to eat out at Boston Pizza. I love that do so much to support kids, I will also be able to get my receipt stamped to give to our school as Boston Pizza gives money back to the school for each receipt turned in! It’s a win-win in my mind!
