By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be sitting by the pool at the luxurious Intercontinental Hotel reading my first book in three years and eating Miss Vickies Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar Chips.
Because, for once, I don’t have to share.
Okay, I won’t be swimming but the rest is true. Ed even asked me if I was bringing my bathing suit!?
I will however, be driving to Toronto with my friend Rae from “There’s a Contest for That” to attend the much anticipated ShesConnected 2012 Blogging Conference. We will be staying at the Intercontinental thanks to our sponsor Nanna who got us three nights with her Air Miles points. A BIG thanks to ShesConnected for gifting us the tickets.
Our days will be filled with workshops, meetings with brands and chatting with peers. Our evening activities include; a Pajama Soiree, 50 Shades of Grey (the clean version) and 80’s Parties (teased hair should never have been in).
I am really looking forward to thanking all my peers and supporters personally and learning everything I can about the Review blogging industry.
A big thanks to Nanna and Ed. Without them holding the fort, I couldn’t have gone.
In case you didn’t know, this is the first time that I’ve ever been away from the kids since they came home from the hospital. I’m fine with that (ask me when I get back) because I know that they’ll be eating cookies for breakfast, watching Dora reruns until they beg for it to be changed and running around the house naked. What are Nanna’s for.
Mutiny is only a six letter word. Could be worse…
I hope you have a wonderful time!
Thanks for the note Erika. I had an amazing time and can’t wait to (bore) you guys with all the details.

Super jealous and can't wait to hear about it when you return!
Looking forward to hearing some interesting tales – hope you soak up every minute!
Lol! Awesome post. You deserve a break mama! Can’t wait to meet you. I was like Nanna? Is that a new children’s store? Bwahahaha!
Have a great time!
Hope you enjoy your time, me time is important too!
Have fun, I hope you have a great time and learn a lot. Stop worrying about the kids, LOL!
Oh boy! Hope the book and chips were as good as expected!
Sounds wonderful! I haven’t been away from my family by myself for probably 2 years.
So glad you abandoned ship for a few days and made the trek to SCCTO! I really struggled with leaving my little one for that time but thank goodness I met some awesome people – ummmm like you! – to make it worthwhile!
