One of a Kind Crocheted Hats for Kids with Love from the The Stitchin Mommy

The Stitchin Mommy Logo and Crocheted Owl Hat

The Kids love to accessorize; glasses, capes, tutus, hats, you name it.When I found Amy’s Etsy Shop, I knew that we had to add some of her handmade creations to our collection.

Not only because they’re animal related, functional, and adorable but because they’re…

Crocheted with Love at The Stitchin Mommy!

In case you didn’t know, I love all things Etsy. I am amazed by people’s creativity and seeing their passions displayed in their work. Everyone has a story and here is a chapter from Amy’s book…

I am a self taught crocheter who has been honing my craft for three years. The Stitchin’ Mommy all started when I decided to make some cute hats for my little girl. My customized creations received such rave reviews that when I found out about Etsy I started a shop right away.

I’m constantly expanding and trying new patterns. I’m also trying to branch out and sell a variety of items. All of the items that I sell are made with love and care in a pet free and smoke free home. I also strive for 100% customer satisfaction. I know what it’s like to buy something that I’m not happy with so I want to make sure that my customers are happy so that I can continue to do business with them.

It all started with the packaging. You know how I love recycled, upcycled and any kind of cycled packaging and Amy didn’t disappoint. The hats were individually wrapped in kraft paper with colourful tissue paper inside, ribbon and a personalized stamp on the outside. I was pleased as pink and I hadn’t even inspected the goods yet.

When I did, it was love at first sight. Not only for me but Artemis as well. So much so that she’s hardly taken hers off. She was very upset the other day when I told her that she couldn’t wear it outside because it was 40 Degrees Celsius out!? Her response “Tomorrow it will snow and then I can wear it?”. As you can see from the pictures, she’s quite happy. Understatement of the year.

Max has been in a bit of a mood lately so he won’t have anything to do with the hat. Allow me to clarify, he wouldn’t put it on but he’s been carrying it around and talking to the owl. Who’s called “Owl” because everything must have a name. Everything.

I can’t say enough great things about the quality, workmanship and style. There isn’t a missed stitch to be found, the long tassles and flower are so cute and “The Stitchin Mommy” label on the inside sealed the deal.

Remember how I was commenting on how the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser didn’t come with instructions? Well, Amy read my mind because she includes care information in her packages. Not only that but they’re easy; Hand wash with mild detergent and lay flat to dry.

The Bonus (like things could get any better), you can get hair clips and bags that match! And talk about affordable. A hat only costs $20CDN. What do you want for $20. That is not a question because we all know what you want…

When my son was born the ladies auxilary made him a cap and blanket, so soft. These are super cute and perfect for any baby shower or birthday present.

Oh my goodness those hats are adorable, especially the one that your daughter is wearing. I'm going to add her on FB and Twitter that way I can keep up with her work for Winter. Definitely need one of those for Madison.

Those hats are super-cute. I received some hand-made crocheted hats as a pre-baby’s arrival gift and I love that they are “made with love”. Thanks for the review!
