Before you answer either way, you should know the following.
Your travels will touch three countries. Occur over four days (three nights). Your vehicle, let’s say a Chevy Astro will also include two dogs and a cat. Did I mention two four-year olds? Don’t forget your cooler and a six-pack of Coke. You’ll plan on leaving today at 5am but due to severe snowstorm warnings in Kentucky and Tennessee, you’ll delay your trip by a day. If you’re one for plans, then scratch them all out because you’re already a day behind and you haven’t even started yet.
So, are you in?
If you’re not a fan of any of the above then sit back, turn on the Christmas music, crank the fireplace and bookmark this blog because you’re going on a four month adventure from the comforts of your own home.
And if you DO want to come along then I’m sure people are wondering what’s wrong with you. It’s okay, happens to us all the time. Seeing as we don’t have any room in the van (although there is a 2×2″ pocket in the car top carrier), I hope that my journals will be enough to whet your appetite and convince you that anything is possible.
If you can’t wait until Thursday, you can get caught up on our previous Mexican adventures here.
We’ll be in touch whenever we get to wherever it is that we’re going.
I sure would!!
Can’t WAIT!!!! Looking forward to soaking up a bit of Mexican sun via my laptop screen…
Oh I can not wait, I just read your last years annual post for this trip!
You’re brave lol. Read last years post….looking forward to reading about this trip! all the best 🙂
This is so funny! I can so understand the feeling. We live about 700 miles away from family and when we tell people we stick 4 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 people and all our stuff in a minivan to go visit them we get looks like they are waiting for the punchline….and then when they realize we are serious they have no idea what to say!!
Good luck!! Travel safe!!

I’d pack my bags in a jiffy! Hope you are making good progress and the weather is being kind to you. Dying to hear about it all, you last ‘adventure’ got me hooked 🙂 We used to do road trips from MB down to Florida with 7 kids but no animals thankfully. I can assure everyone the children were enough! 😉
Wishing you safe travels!

I can’t wait to hear how this trip goes! Waiting to see all the great updates along the way, because I am would never make that trip…
I don’t even go visit my family up north for the Holidays and it’s a four hour drive away (in the summer) the way the roads are in Winter I won’t risk it.
I much prefer to sit at home for the Holidays.
Happy New Year!
I would love to go on a road trip but not in a snow storm.
