One evening, in order to give my Aunt Sally a rest from cooking for the masses and in celebration of Boston Pizza’s birthday, I took the whole family** for a Pizza Night Extravaganza. For one night only, Boston Pizza offered individual pizzas for only $5. We pretty much cleared them out of dough. Note that this is a picture of Round 1.
It was great to have the chance to relax and chat without having to cook or cleanup after and The Kids really enjoy eating out. Our theory is that the only way to teach a child to behave while out in public is to take them out in public. What I really like about Boston Pizza is that they understand and support this fact and help make our experience as a Family as enjoyable as possible.
From the moment we sat down, The Kids were offered crayons and a kids colouring book complete with their own menu. The Kids Menu has six main meal options like Chicken Fingers, Bugs and Cheese and The Kids favourite BP Mini Cheeseburgers with French Fries and a dessert of ice cream and worms. The meal comes with enough food that The Kids can share or we take home leftovers and all for only $6.99!
Except in our case, we used our Kids Card to pay for the meal so it was free. Yes, you read that correctly, FREE and you can get in on the savings too!
From now until October 11, with a minimum $5 donation, you can purchase a Boston Pizza Kids Card that includes five free Kids Meals valued at $35! The bonus is that all the donations support kids across Canada through partnerships with organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids Help Phone, JDRF, Live Different and other programs. The goal of these groups is to mentor kids to reach their full potential.
To date, the Boston Pizza Foundation has raised and donated over $20 million to charities in communities across Canada and around the world. Last year, more than $670,000 was raised for charity through the sale of Boston Pizza Kids Cards and this year’s goal is to raise at least $730,000.
Make a difference in a Childs life by visiting your local Boston Pizza location or online at BostonPizza.com to purchase a Kids Card. But that’s not all! If you register your Kids Card on your MyBP account you’ll get an additional 6th meal FREE.
As part of my #1DollarADay Personal Charity Campaign, I’ve been in search of Canadian Causes that could use some financial assistance and recognition. Of course the Boston Pizza Foundation has been added to the list and I hope that you will support them as well. Every dollar makes a difference.

My son and I went out for a late lunch on Tuesday and picked up a card. Boston Pizza is one of the few restaurants he enjoys, which means I get to finish the food on my playe too 🙂

Such a great program, and we get to enjoy delicious meals at Boston Pizza!
This is a good cause. I never knew Boston Pizza was involved with such a promotion.
I have bought these cards for the past few years – such an easy way to give back!
Great charity!! Great deal!! And great restaurant!! 🙂
This is awesome! I love when companies give an initiative to donate to a charity. A lot more people would donate just to get the card but the ones that do it from the heart are being rewarded with yummy food 🙂

Great post, great cause! Thanks for that!
Great food and a great cause too!
I think this is brilliant, it costs little, kids get great meals practically free and those less fortunate are helped at the same time – a fantastic idea from BP, I love it 🙂
A great cause and a win-win!
a really good charitable promotion
This is a really nice program.
My kids are too big for it these days, but we would get a couple of cards each year when they were smaller. It was always very exciting to go to Boston Pizza on Hunt Club in Ottawa as a treat.
I hope lots of people take advantage of the savings all while helping a good cause.

I could go for a slice of Boston pizza right now!
This is a great initiative on the part of Boston Pizza. Money is raised for important causes and a treat is had in return, five times over!
