In case you haven’t heard, Stayfree has come out with a new flexible-fit design for their Ultra Thin – Regular with wings pads. Their thermo control keeps you dry, cool and comfortable. I can’t really comment on the cool and comfortable part, but I can comment on whether it keeps you dry or not. How do I know?
I took the Stayfree Challenge!
The purpose of the test is to see which pad is the most absorbent. The nine steps were easy to follow and took less than 5 minutes to complete. It didn’t appear (to me) to give favour to any one product over the other. Unless of course they assumed that I would pour the liquid left to right but I didn’t. I did it right to left because I’m like that.
And the Winner of the Stayfree Challenge was…
To say that I was surprised that Stayfree was the winner wouldn’t be true. However, I was really intrigued by the process. I saw the 5ml be poured onto the pads and how within 30 seconds it was all gone. Not only that but the pad didn’t appear all bulky or change in any visible way (besides turning blue from the dye in the liquid)**. I even checked the underside of the pads and to this day, I can’t figure out where all the liquid went. As The Kids say “magic”.
In addition to the fact that they out performed their competitors, I also liked the following features;
1. Their regular pad is ultra thin. Seriously, really thin. Less bulk, easier to conceal,
2. It has wings. A must for a regular pad,
3. It feels so soft. Like cotton.
So there you have it. I took the challenge. If you’re up for more fun, Stayfree has some funny and short videos that will get you laughing and shouting hurrah. Note that some reactions may vary.
Will you Take the Stayfree Ultra Thin Challenge?
Disclosure: Journeys of The Zoo compensation in exchange from completing this Challenge.
* Based on my tests and those of others, using Stayfree pads can minimize your risk.
** I’m assuming that the liquid was water but I don’t actually know.
Won’t be participating in this challenge. lol.. I would if I actually used pads, but I don’t.
I been using another brand for years and it has wings. I recently bought some stayfree, not sure if they are the same as these. I threw the other bag out. I just can’t wait till I don’t need them at all!
I don’t doubt that they are the winner, but I haven’t bought sanitary napkins or tampons for that matter in years, saving myself thousands of dollars. In case your wondering what I do, I use the Diva Cup and homemade napkins, each work great for me.

That is awesome! It is such a pain when you are having a heavy bleeding day and your pad doesn’t work! Now that I’m older I seem to bleed lightly a day, bleed to death a day, then be pretty much over it in another day or two. Hate that heavy day! I do use Stayfree but I also use other brands. I think the results speak for themselves!

I am in the process of switching to reusable pads, but I used to use Stayfree pads and always liked them better than Always!
I won’t be trying this experiment as I don’t need any of these products anymore. How I wish that they had them back in the day when I did need them!
I’m happy to say, I don’t need these products but feminine protection has come a long way. I shutter to think of what we had to use when I was younger.
Love the VINE, haven’t seen it used like this before but it was really effective in showing the steps that you went through
I will step down from this challenge, lol/
That is good to know – I usually buy them because of the cost but its great to see how they compare (and beat) other brands as well. Makes me feel good about choices 🙂
And I think I do own the ugliest granny pants but I am way to embarassed to show those beauties for the world to see , LOL!!
The contest sounds pretty funny – will have to follow that one!
this would be an interesting challenge to do, but at least you get to see for yourself how well that they are
I love Stayfree… though they keep changing the packaging and I get confused and buy the wrong ones. GAH!
Ok if I had granny panties, which I do not, I would not be “tweeting them out” That’s all I’m saying….

This contest seems like its going to be very interesting and i will be following it for sure. Good lock with the Ugliest Pair of Granny Panties folks !
I am now beyond the “period” age, but do have the little leakies every once in a while. I am so going to try these!
This is too neat! i did a similar experiment with always infinity and it failed miserably. Glad to see urs passed
I use these! They are great!
I use Stayfree as my main brand after seeing this demonstration before at the mall!
I’m always looking for an absorbent pad. Thanks for doing the challenge. And no, I’m not showing anyone my granny panties.
This challenge is just great , its funny , but truthful
My needs have changed a bit since getting my Mirena. I love how the website provides options/selection based on the type of underwear you have, and your personal needs. Great idea!
Thank goodness those days are over! I always found that Stayfree brand were the softest when I needed that protection.
LOL, gotta love feminine product challenges. Thanks for the giggles Sarah 🙂
