The Kids are getting to the age where they can identify with and have full blown conversations with “real-life” characters such as Big Bird, Scooby Doo, Snoopy and all their Friends. Since going to Canada’s Wonderland this summer, The Kids have fallen in love with Snoopy and even managed to catch a performance with Charlie Brown and Friends. There’s something about that dog that has been capturing children’s imaginations for over 60 years.
When I heard of Story Panda’s latest Snoopy iPad App “You Can be Anything”, I wanted to share it with you but there was a little issue, we don’t have an iPad. Problem solved when Jody at Mommyjuiced offered to share her thoughts with you.
Be sure to read right to the end for your chance to win a copy for yourself!
I don’t know about you but I have a soft spot in my heart for Snoopy! So I was excited about the chance to review a new iPad app featuring everyone’s favorite canine that reminds us that we can be anything! Charles M. Schulz’s story and his lovable characters are a great way to talk to kids about their future and what they want to be.
My daughter loves reading and creating stories and this fully interactive iPad app features a Create Mode where kids can personalize the heartfelt message. Kids can add their own names to the book to explore the endless possibilities of all the amazing things they can be. Plus on every page, families can change Snoopy’s costumes to add flair to their very own story. From an astronaut to a lawyer to just plain cool, the many faces of Snoopy serve as inspiration for kids everywhere. If your kids are younger and not yet able to create their own stories, there is a story that includes animations, sounds, 3D effects and voiceover narration that they can enjoy.
It’s really great to see what your kids can create themselves. When they are finished, you can share their story creations through email, Facebook and Twitter so friends and family all around the world can see that children can be anything!
My daughter emailed her story to me and it was funny and heartwarming all at the same time.
I love that this was the first page in her book. Fearless!
And she shows her caring and nurturing personality:
And my personal favourite of her pages:
I guess we’re crazy around here! Oh well, at least we have great imaginations!
Overall, my 7 year old found the app easy to use and we both found it lots of fun. I could definitely see it as a great learning tool for 4-7 year olds. For only $2.99, you can download the app and see what you and your child can create on your own.
